I had one of those a few years back but that was while I was pregnant. My baby made me so sick I ended up in the hospital because I couldn't hold anything down. After though, the symptoms that they told her she would experience (cold shakes, cramping) was what I felt but had no problems afterwards.
What they did tell me though was that if I still had symptoms of being pregnant was that I go back for a surgical abortion (D&C).
Find out for sure- I totally feel her pain.

to me that sounds like a reaction to the birth control. don't forget that these are very strong hormones and the body is bound to react to them. my guess is that she feels like she's having monster-pms, right? it'll go eventually, but it sucks until then.
