its probably just jelous because it wants attention from you and your not giving it my dog used to be the same way

It is a sign of protection. You need to separate your dog when you are your boyfriend are getting intimate, so that you don't stress the dog out. But, make sure to allow your dog with you and your boyfriend when you are not intimate. Also, maybe it will help to have your boyfriend give treats and play a game of tug or something.

The dog sees himself as the "Alpha male" of the house and he doesn't like the idea of another male moving in on his territory. I don't mean that in a perverted way. You're dog sees you as his and your bf as intruding on his territory. You need to correct this behavior by letting him know you are the boss not him. Tell him no or lock him out of the room. He will eventually figure out that he's not the boss.

Your dog could be jealous! My friend had a cat that was the same way, and because he has lived with her, the cat, for years, a new girl in the kittys life was difficult.

this could be that the dog is getting jealous as he wants to be the top dog and getting very protective over you. i would say to get your partner to spend more time with your dog its all dont to dominatce good luck

maybe he knows something about your bf that you dont dogs have great sences and can sence when something is wrong they are also very smart and cares about you a lot or your bf did something to him when you where not around or it could just be your dog knows that your bf takes more time with you and your dog feels left out and is jealous

It,s because your pup pa is jealous of the fact you are giving your attention to your boy friend that would be other wise given to him/her and that's way they do that, My boy dose the same thing to me and my man !he,ll get right in between us, Its funny i think!

sometimes a dog will do that because he/she thinks that your boyf. is doing something bad to u but he doesnt know that. my dog use to do that when my friend and i use to horseplay around the house when i was little but after my dog got use to her and she start peting and do stuff with him he started to understand that it was ok for my friend to horseplay with me.
