I use CHI flat iron to straighten my hair, but during the day it always turns a bit wavy. How can I get it to stay really really straight the same way it looks when im done flat ironing it?

USE SPRITZ AFTER STRAIGHTENING EACH SECTION. IT HOLDS REALLY WELL.

I also have a CHI iron, which I love!

I have very fine hair, but it also very curly, so this may work for everyone.

This is what I do, while my hair is still wet, I put a small amount of Frizz Ease Serum on it. Then after I straighten it, I use Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hair Spray. You can get it at just about any drugstore. You just hold it at arm's length from your hair and spray it all over your locks. It will hold the hair style, but if you want a natural look with more movement then run your fingers through your hair to distribute it. It really keeps the humidity out.

Then if I get any flyaways during the day, I use Redken #5 Undone finishing creme. That stuff works wonders. Put a small amount on your palms and rub your hands together so you have a thin film, then smooth it over your flyaways. It dries quickly so it doesn't make your hair wave up.

Hope this helps!

Oh yeah, I find that if I use a leave in conditioner before I straighten then it also makes my hair frizz or wave up sooner than if I don't use one.

what i do and it really seems to work good is wash my hair, and condition with a lot of conditioner then i use a straightening prouduct while my hair i wet personally i like loreal straight hot product then i blow dry my hair using a round brush for body make sure your hair is dry. then i use the straightener iron. then i put a little hair wax on my finger tips and put it on the ends of my hair. and one thing i almost forgot is hold the iron for at least 30-60 sec on everytime you close it

Maybe you just need a straightening iron with higher heat settings to make sure its completely dry. If your hair is not completely dry it will take a lil bit of a wave easy, specially in the hot summer. Humidity also.

I prefer the maxi glide over chi. I was having a similiar problem. The Maxi glide just seems to work better on my hair. If it's really humid i also use a little bit of mousse to keep it straight, but i usually don't have that problem. I also use i.c.e. spray on occasion, and spray it after i straighten my hair.

I have the same problem after using my ceramic iron. It never looks the same after a few hours! I use a clear serum (such as frizz-eaze) on my wet hair before blow-drying and straightening. After straightening I run the blow dryer down my hair shaft on cold....most newer blow-dryers have this option. I hop it helps! Good luck!

try a different straightener
i have extremely wavy hair
and i bought 2 straighteners from walmart and use both of them do straighten my hair and then do it slow and go over all the rough patches also try using garnier fruitese (or however you spell it) sleek & straight products. also, try taking a day or two off of straightening. also blow dry it completely and straight it should work
