Avoid getting strait up loans for school if at all possible.

Go to your finacial aid office and get a fafsa filled out so that you can apply for federal aid. The federal aid programs are the best deals for student loans, you will not need a cosigner (but you will have to maintain at least half-time status), you will get a decent interest rate, and some loans can be subsidized so that interest does not add up while taking classes.

Well it all depends if you have good credit. If you have good credit you should have no problem getting a loan. You can go to Sallie Mae.com, Citibank.com, or national city.com. If you filled out your fafsa you can try and get a gov. loan which is either subsidized or unsubsidized. Then you dont have to worry about getting a cosigner.
