Probably not because heaven and hell are religious idea. If you have been kicked out of a said religion, why should it apply to you?

If I haven't ever communicated, how can I be excommunicated, lol!!! Let's see excommunicated means literally not being allowed communion. Who gives a bleep? You won't perish in Hell because there is no Hell. On the other hand if you are a criminal, hate people, and have no compassion/empathy than you are living in your own private Hell in the HERE AND NOW. I hope you were excommunicated for the sake of picking your nose one time too many in Chruch because you may finally see how stupid the rules are. If you were than join the EXCOMMUNICATED at WWW.UUA.ORG! PEACE!

A) A formal excommunication these days is almost as rare as hen's teeth.

B) The excommunicated are always welcome to repent and return to the fullness of communion with Holy Mother Church.

C) A formally excommunicated Catholic who remains obdurate until death will be judged by God on the reason(s) for the excommunication. Only He can truly judge if the soul is worthy of Heaven, Purgatory or Hell.

D) It takes a lot to get stuck in Hell. You gotta work at it, because God loves you and He'd a whole lot rather you came Home to Him. He makes THAT real easy.

E) One does not perish in Hell. One suffers. There's a difference.

Churches and religion excommunicate. Not Jesus. The only unforgivable sin is the denouncing of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately too many people get caught up into religion, ritualism, and liberalism, even what denomination...and worship that. Worship Jesus and all will be fine.
Be at peace, He's got you covered!

Ex-communication means the head of your religion does not approve of something you did. Maybe like calling him a fool. You have two choices.

(1) Go find another religion where the head teacher/preacher/pope will not mind being challenged. This actually is impossible. Joining a religious group means suspending your intelligence and believing dogmas.

(2) go to www.dhamma.org where you will discover that heaven and hell are of your own making. Hell is in this world. You just keep coming back for more suffering. Heaven is for those who have lived an exemplary life in this world and hence find a way to avoid coming back.

The purpose of excommunication is for you to think about your life without God so that you'll turn back to Him. However, the American church screwed all that up. So excommunication litterally means nothing here in the U.S.

This ussually only happens when you break a church rule, then flaunt it in the churches face, and defend yourself. If you can't accept the possibilty that something is wrong, the it is only responsible to excommunicate you. Weather you go to hell or not, is still up to Jesus. The Catholic church has never said specifically that anyone in particular went or is going to hell.

Sweet! You mean if I become a preist I can send people to Hell just by excommunicating them? I think I just found myself a new job.
Ha ha. Fear me, your new God.

You will never parish in Hell. The whole concept of burning in Hell was thought up during medieval times. The church wants control over people, so they try to scare you. That is it.

NO!!!! The churches are corupt!!! It is they that will be destroyed.

READ THE BOOK OF REVELATION: God tells us to come out of "Babylon" and not share in the wrath he will place upon them. God's people are separate from church organizations simply because these churches are corupt, money-driven, and became instruments of the devil.

Do not do anything good through a church. Always do something good through Christ. You are not supposed to depend on a church for salvation - you are supposed to depend on Christ!!!!

Can you see the coruption of a church when it is telling you to depend on being a member for salvation instead of depending on Christ?!?

Listen to the post made by 40andlovingit - he knows his history. Many of you don't.
