Yup, I think so ---
My dad was a believer in a very famous guy with the initials J C.
You read a lot about this guy everyday, here at Yahoo, even.
Dads sometimes like to name their 'kids' after famous folks - usually dead and gone for awhile, but not yet forgotten. . .
Well - when I was created, and assigned the task of
OFFICIAL CONSCIENCE
for a little wooden guy,
that's when good old dad was inspired to name me . . .
Jiminy Cricket . . . J C ---- get it?????
Let your conscience be your guide . . .

I was born in post-war Germany and named Eva Maria after the landlady in gratitude for being allowed to live there and for all her help in caring for my pregnant mother. In Germany, back then, you had six weeks to finalize the name of the child. When my mother saw how much of a screamer I was, she said: "No way is this an Eva Maria (that's a German name for the Virgin Mary)!!" So they made that my middle name and gave me a good, strong German first name to go with my healthy set of lungs!!

I was named after my uncle in Italy. Went to visit them about 7 years ago, wow confusing as hell. I only know a couple words in italian, and we were sitting at the table for dinner, and there was my uncle, a second cousin, and another person (4) all with the same name.

My name came from Dr. Zhivago. The first movie my parent's saw together. My son's came from a dream I had when I was 16. I dreamt I was having a baby and my great grandfather - long dead and a family patriarch - was standing there. I heard the baby cry and my grandfather said "His name shall be Devin" Couldn't argue with that.

My mother was really hoping for a boy, but she got me instead; my family threw some girl's names in a hat and picked Krista. After 31 years, I still don't know how they came up with the middle name Rae.

My name is Nikia. My mom got the name from an old TV show in the late 70's. The show was called Nakia. It was a native american guys name on the show. She just switched it up a little bit and spelled it Nikia instead of Nakia.

Odd but true my dad has 21 brothers and sisters. All their names start with an R and end with a consentent.
So when my mom married my dad she said no child of hers name would begin with an R and would all end in a vowel and so my name begins with a d and ends with an a.

Well, My name is Nejeri Leannea Reynolds. My last name is not that interesting but my first name is. My mom was originally going to name me Taylor, but instead named me Nejeri which means unique enlighted child. I was my mom's first girl and am going to be her first child to go to college. My middle name was from my dad. I am his youngest child and he named me after him. His name id Leon so he named me Leannea. This way I could sign his name for anything and would not be lying cuz i would just sign put L. Reynolds. That is all I got. I hope you find it interesting.

My mom named me after my father in hopes that it would make him be a better father. Live up to responsibilities and such. Didn't happen. They got divorced when I was 2 or 3. Now I plan on changing it to something meaningful.

My uncle and Dad bought land to build and sell houses... my uncle wanted my parents to name me Molly so much because he loved the name so he named the first street Molly Drive... i guess my parents felt obligated! We still live in the same neighbhorhood and it feels special to have a street named after me!
