I am a recording engineer who has worked in N.Y.C. for 12 years recording audio for radio and T.V. commercials. I've used Pro-Tools for Mac, but I have a Hewlitt Packard. If you know of a good audio software program let me know, please.

I use cakewalk sonar. It way rocks, plenty of plug-ins. You can use direct x plug ins of VST. magix has a few products that aren't as intuitive, but they do pretty good work once you get it down. You can even go the free route with Audacity or just look for some cool freeware at snapfiles.com.

I have never used pro tools, but i just looked on Musiciansfriend.com and they have it for XP. So why not just use something you are already familiar with?
