HI,
well many people are uncomfortable because they think that alot of Christians are brainwashed into thinking that giving up free will is a good thing. In reality they don't have a clue that being a Christian is a LIFE STYLE change, and just like anything in your life it takes great intestinal fortitude and dedication to stick with something.
Most people do not see that something that brings them pleasure, or makes them happy can be so bad for them. Most people don't want to give up something, and for unbelievers they think ( Perhaps) that giving up something to get nothing just isn't a good trade off. ( They don't see the benefits to Christian living because they aren't there yet. They don't see the great emotional joy one recieves, and they have never experience the POWER of the Holy spirit that resides in each believer... THrough Jesus Christ Christians can do all things, but the unbeliever can't see that, they just see some of us as puppets on a string, or searching for an "unattainable goal" )
So don't let it bother you, they can think what they want and let them squirm. Show your lifestyle and live it proudly. Alot of pple see that through our example, Christianity isn't soooo sooo baaad.

A note: I am not trying to offend unbelievers on here, it's just that I have come across pple who thought this way, and they spoke thier minds to me about it... I guess I'm just clearing the air... no offence please, cuz none's given.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
GOD BLESS! ( GOOD QUESTION by the way)

Would *you* get uncomfortable if someone was proclaiming the justice of Zeus and how we should all pray to Demeter? How about if they were saying that Loki really helped them with their problems, although Thor had some misgivings? Somehow, I suspect that you would.

I don't run away from God. I run away from people thinking they have a right to speak on his behalf. Blessed be.

Because believing in god is a sign that you are mildly insane.

lots of different reasons, but my guess for the most common reason would be that they want to keep living their life how they want to live it and not have to worry about being accountable to someone higher than theirselves
