put his leash on him and hold onto him while your riding, of course, go slowly. maybe after a few times of that, he will know to stay next to you.

First thing is to make sure your dog walks with you on the ground without pulling or dragging behind. You should have some kind of command/word, that means keep with me. This will help when your on the bike. I would then start out walking, pushing the bike and making sure the dog is comfortable with staying close to the bike. Then gradually start getting on the bike and riding for short distances going slow, making sure that the dog understands that they need to stay with you. I would then increase the distance while keeping the dog on lead. Till you don't have to remind the dog to stay with you they just do it on their own. Always before turning a dog lose somewhere please make sure that you have a good solid COME on the dog. Also if you wish to keep the dog on lead while riding you can look into getting what is called a Springer Bike Leash. Hope this helps!!!

When you ride your bike first you aren't allowed to hold the leash and why would the dog want to walk? C'mon think.

let him ride the bike and you walk next to him for a bit. he should pick it right up.lol if not try walking next to the bike while he walks with you. after he gets used to being with you and the bike you should be able to slowly start riding a bit, increasing times until you both are having a splendid time!

Keep your dog on a leash, hold it while you are riding. In due time he will walk next to you without the leash.

im no pro but first try running with him on a leash. then slowly start doing it on a bike. after you have done that fo a long time, take the leash off. he has to get used to it at first.

Let me get this strait, you're going to ride and the dog is going to walk?
The resale value of that dog is going to nil by the time you're through!

First you have to train him/her to walk beside you while walking.
After they get used to this, you could start out using a leash to get him/her started getting used to being beside you while you are riding. After a while it will become a natural thing. This is what I did. Maybe it will work for you.
Good luck.
