You mean your communication skills?
Best advice I ever got: Go to Toastmasters. This is a club that helps you learn public speaking and confidence. It is a totally supportive environment. In my group we had a man who stuttered, and was able to overcome it through the program, and we have had lots of people who could barely be heard because they were so timid and quiet, now they can give speeches to lots of people. It's not nearly as scary as it sounds. Email me for more info.

practice what you are going to say before you make a phone call or meet someone for the first time, preferably into a mirror so you can get the feel of what the most acceptable gestures/facial expressions are.

read out loud to yourself and others. this helps you in public speaking and can lead you into more freely expressing your own thoughts to others.

make it a point to have eye contact with the person that you are speaking to, not too much, but just enough. here again, practicing in the mirror will be a great help in that because you'll be able to tell how much eye contact is too much, even with yourself.

those are just some things I've learned are helpful.... hope it helps you out a little! :) And don't worry... being shy is NOT a fault... it's just a different personality type.

If we didn't have people like you in the world, no one would ever listen to anyone else. That'd be a sad place.

I am assuming com is communication skills lol. Well you can try to enter your self into a acting/imporv/public speaking class. These will help you to be more comfortable and confident about talking with other people. Or you can just practice talking in front of a mirror, or things like that so you feel more comfortable with your speech. The best way to imporve your communication skills are to simply communicate!

I was extremely shy up thru High School and first part of college. I discovered a love of the theater where I could put on another's charecter and "become" that person. Gradually I became less shy and now people don't believe me when I tell them how I used to be.

Also, realize deep down inside that you really have nothing to lose by approaching people and talking to them. You have more to lose by NOT extending yourself out to others.

Good luck! It's not easy, but you can do it if I did.

Well for starters, you need to do less work on the comp. and get out there and make new friends. believe me...i know this is hard 4 yuo because i am shy too, then i started to get out ther and make some true friends who i knew would be there 4 me no matter what!...
But, best of luck to yuo and you communication skills, i hope you find a friend (or even more) who is right 4 you! *Best of Luck*

Take some speech classes in both high school and college. Any communications class should help. The Toastmasters idea is a great one!
