You can use Kool-Aid packets but it fades extremely quickly and tends to not look very nice after day one. Crystal lite wouldn't work as well as Kool-Aid, but nothing compares to the real hair dye.

You can but it doesnt work 2 well! Try koolaid! I know it work really well!!

You can use Jell-O and they probably have the same coloring chemicals, so try it!
