My mother is turning 50 years old. I want to get her a present, not a gag present, showing my love for her. I'm not very sure what to get her though. She's very religious and a workaholic. Got ne ideas?

A 25 year old? I don't know. I guess it would depend on the person and what she already has. A trip to a day spa would be nice and if she works all the time, she might like the pampering. Find out where she gets her hair done, and go in and pay for the next few hair cuts and tips, a gift certificate to her favorite clothing store or restaurant. Depending on how much money you want to spend on her, you could go as elaborate as a trip for her and her husband or friends. Not pay for all of it but for her part.

This is all that I can think of. Hope that there is at least one good idea for you.

this might sound corny but one year I didn't know what to get my mother on her 65th birthday. I mean she had everything she could want....Now my mom didn't like us kids spending alot of money on her and well really what can you get for someone under 20 bucks. So one evening i sat down and wrote her a letter telling her how much she has meant to me throughout the years and for all she has done for me. It was easier to come up with so much to say since i am a mom myself and know now how rough it is to raise kids. She just yesterday celebrated her 74th birthday :) and I told her I didn't know what to get her again (took her to dairy queen lol) and she said that the letter I wrote to her all those years ago word for word is still in her thoughts and that is the one gift she will Cherish forever, Sometimes its really is the thought that counts instead of how flashy or expensive a boughten gift is....... ( i just wish now I had done the same thing when my father was still alive.)

make sure you don' tjust get her a 'gift'. because the best gift she can reveive is having you there on that day! let her know you love her and you're by her side. all a mother needs is to knoe that her children are there for her! but a really great gift would be to take her to a spa or massage therapist! excellent gift, especially if she's a workaholic!!!

If you have the money ( or get together with others as a big group gift) find a good retreat ( many have religious themes ) . Give her a week to be pampered and enlightened.

Set her up with a little weekend vacation or even a 3 day cruise. They are so nice and pretty affordable, may have to get other members to chip in though.

A nice watch is appropriate. Maybe with something engraved on the back.
