I am 4'11" and when I weighed 115 lbs some of my bones seemed to stick out (collar bones, shoulders, hips). I thought I weighed too much because the standard weight for somebody that height is much lower. But because of the way I am constructed, I look much better at 120lbs.

I think you may be a little too skinny. See a doctor first. If they determine that you should loose weight for health reasons, then good. Otherwise, they may suggest adding a few pounds, and curves to your bikini. Remember that women are supposed to have an hourglass shape, not look like a bic pen with earrings.

If you are worried about how you will look in a bathing suit, visit a department store with a shopping assistant. They will help you find a suit that will flatter the curves you've got, and hide anything not so nice.

There is nothing wrong with modesty, although if it's that you are ashamed of the way you look, you should deal with that. Whether you need to lose weight is not as simplistic as the weight/height ratio...although I'd say since you are nearly my night and about half my weight, you're fine. Ideal weight as per all resources I can find for our height is between 140-150.

The truth is that not all teens who diet actually need to lose weight. Many times, friends, family, and society influence the way we see our bodies. Pressures like these can prompt some teens to take drastic dieting measures, leading to malnutrition and eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. And because teens are still growing, drastic dieting can be especially harmful to their developing bodies. Other teens may mistakenly think that in order to be in top form for their chosen sport, they need to be as thin as possible.

Hell NO. You're GOOD right where you are. You can go to any store and try on a swimsuit. Buy one that you would feel comfortable in. If you don't find one, that's ok too. Go to the party with a top and shorts that you can get wet, should you decide to get wet or happen to get thrown in. You should be happy that you are near perfect just as you are.

Are you kidding? You're bordering on underweight as it is.

Get a cute sarong and wear it over your suit like a sundress. =) And besides, who CARES what others think? Take a look around sometime, often people who have NO RIGHT to dress like they do are wearing bikinis. (My 350lb cousin comes to mind because she dresses like she's a size 4 and she's a size 28 if anything.)

Yu crazy! That's slim!

And if bathing suits bother you, why not shorts and a wet t-shirt!

Then see how many guys want to get you out of it and that may end your body fears!

You have a BMI of 19. 19 to 24 is normal. 18 is underweight. Go to this links page with link to the gov. site on BMI so you can check it yourself.
