I am talking about the prophet Muhammud.

Respect those who earn it and have peace with those who actually want it.

This is what you are referring to, muslims marrying girls.

Yeah it's true. The muslim men are raised to be predatory pedophiles.

The whole religion is founded on enslavement of women, and forcing them to submit to men.

The name Islam means Submission.

It's a known fact to Muslims that Aisha was young when she married the Prophet (pbuh) but it also a fact that it was accepted as the time (even the enemies of the Prophet who were very vocal in criticism towards him). Mohammed (pbuh) was not her first suiter either. She had reached puberty, which is a must in Islamic law for a marriage to be valid. She, and her father were very happy of the alliance.

Now their are reports that she was 9 but the accuracy in this has been questioned by scholars as; the ones who reported her age lived in Iraq at the time, away from Aisha's community. The narrators are a father and son whom only have these narrations to their credit. The fact that are other narrations from more credible narrators that hint she was no less than 15, such as one that says the age difference between Aisha and the Prophet's daughter fatima was 5 years. Now it was known that the Prophet married Aisha in the same year Fatima got married, fatima was reported to be 21 when her marriage took place. So, do the math.

We Muslims do not veiw Aisha to be "a little girl" but a mother of all believers and a great women. She was known to be sharp, articulate, smart; she reported a huge collection of what we know as the "sunnah" way of the Prophet. She also offered lectures after the Prophets death and even waged a war. So, she was more than a "little girl" to us. None of the Prophets wives were as influential as her. She was the first female scholar of Islam. She died as the age of 65. This is what her fellows said of her:

*Abu Musa Ash'ani--one of the companions of the prophet--"the companions were never presented with a problem which when referred to Aisha did not present a satisfactory solution."

*Attar Bin Abi Kibal--student of many of her companions "Aisha was the best theologian, the most learned and the one having sound judgment."

*Imam Zahni--one of the great Islamic scholars, "If the knowledge of all the men and the Mothers of the Believers is gathered at one place, the knowledge of Aisha would be vaster."

According to sunnis Aisha was 6 or 9 when she was married to Muhammad.

According to shias she was 17 or 18 depending on which calendar you use. Shia are seen as the historian of Islam since they are pretty careful about dates and historical figured and places so I trust there opinion. Escpially since according to hadith she would have been 17 or 18. or else the hadith birthdate for her is in error

He was promised her when she was 6. They "consumated" the marriage when she was 9.

Some mulsims want you to belive she was 13 when they had sex, she was 9. It is historical fact.

Muslim countries, and some 3rd world contries, have arranged marriages, and the ages 4-7 are generally the age they arrange the marriages. They have a wedding, then the girl and boy go back to their parents, until both reach the age of puberty, then they "consumate" the marriage with sex.

Yes he did....Muhammed preached his message for 10 years until the death of his wife Khadija. Then he took two wives, one being just a child whom he waited 3 years until she was nine or ten to consummate the marriage. By the time he died he had 12 wives at the same time. This is historical fact and record... Muslims today are allowed to have up to 4 wives...

From what I read it's true...this lil girl was in a very big trouble (didn't remember what was the problem), but marrying her somehow is the best option coz he doesn't want to commit any sins and this is the only way he can take this girl out of her problem

He married her when she was a child, but didn't consumate the relationship until after she had reached menarche. This was a typical age for girl's marriage.

Yeah, it's pedophilia to our culture, but it was also common practice then and can be found in just about ever culture's history.

Isaac (at 40) married Rebekah when she was three.
Source(s):
"According to the Midrash, Rebeccah was 3 years old when Abraham sent his loyal servant Eliezer to his family's homeland in Aram-Naharayim to find a wife for Isaac."
