OK...so its soo bad that once my family and I went to the lake for 4th of July and I saw a guy drowning and I started laughing. Everyone there got mad at me, and screamed, its just I was so nervous and scared. Everytime am nervous I laugh, does this happend to anyone? Is there anything I can do to control it?

The same thing happens to me. I sometimes laugh at the worst moments...being intimate with my partner or at a funeral. It even gets worse when I start to crack jokes. I mean no harm, it is just the way that I deal with certain stressful situations. My advice to you is to try and tone it down a little, but don't stop. This is part of who you are and it is a way that you deal with stress and nerves. Some people deal with it by being sad, crying, screaming, etc. and others deal with it the way we do. We would never ask those people to change the way they are and it is unfair that they ask us to do the same. Everyone in the world is different...that is what makes life so interesting. Don't change the way you are!

Watch "Full Metal Jacket". There's a scene where Sgt. Hartman has Pvt Pyle choke himself because he can't wipe a stupid grin off his face. That's what you need to do: choke yourself!

Not sure what advice to give you. I can do that at times too and don't know why I do it.

Being aware you have this problem is the start.

Most of it is in your head, don't think about laughing in peril, then you won't do it.
