There's nothing to gain from cutting yourself except even more pain, so I don't think I would.

This is a delicate issue, and I sincerely hope that you aren't doing this to yourself. Cutting yourself is a cry for help, and the person who's doing that to him/herself is in need of serious counseling. It is never okay to hurt yourself under any circumstances. It is a form of self hatred, and is not what our bodies were intended for.

Our bodies are a temple, meant to be respected and cherished. If someone is very unhappy, them hurting themselves will only add to their unhappiness, creating a viscious cycle of self-abuse. I sincerely hope that anyone who reads this, who is doing this, or has considered this behavior will seek help from someone who cares about them. If they feel that they have noone to talk to, they can still get help from a good therapist. Not all therapists are helpful, though, so I would recommend talking about it to someone who truly loves you, and hopefully the behavior will be stopped, and even better, never start. Only then can self-love begin to develop.

i have a good life, 2 cars n a motorcycle, 2 story house, 3 boys n husband, i dont have to work, money, yet i cut..i do it when i am mad or sad..it isnt to try to kill my self its just to release the pain. it doesnt hurt or anything i mean i dont go so deep i need stitches but close. i have tried to kill myself 3 times the latest time was 2 yrs ago. but i am glad i dient bc i dont want to be without my husband n kids. sometimes i am just so tired. i have what they call chronic pelvic pain, which hurts from the left ovary down the left leg, n it hurts all the time (feels like labor pains most of the time) and i am bipolar.. and oh i got some anger issues ( i just cant control my anger when someone pisses me off) i am also anorexic (to a point) i eat like once a day, n work out alot but the meds i was put on made me gain 50lbs. n i hate it, to me i look sooo fat i use to be like 96lbs but now i feel like a whale.. so until i lose some weight i hate the way i look..i dont want to be 96lbs anymore but maybe 130 would be nice.i dont got no jelly rolls or nothin i just look like lil kim when i use to look like jessica simpson.. i know cuttin isnt good but it doesnt really come to mind til after i have done it

No sorry ... I've tried when I was younger to see if it gives me any type of comforting and it doesn't ... just leaves me with more bad feelings ... !

I know others that do and I've never quite understood it ... but I also don't think it's wrong.

Ever person has their own way of expressing their emotions .. if it makes them feel better about themselves then they should have the choice to do it .. !

Your life doesn't have to be misserable.......daily you make a choice of how you will respond to things. CHOOSE to be happy with no matter what comes your way. I've had my share of downs....more than I would like to remember. But nothing is worth hurting yourself over it. You in the end are all you have, no one else is going to look after you, like you would......so why would you want to hurt yourself? It's not worth it! And plus it leaves ugly scars on your skin. Just one more thing to be insecure about.

I have never cut myself and do not believe that I ever would. There is nothing to gain from inflecting pain upon yourself as it would not solve your problems.
