Does Mesquite tree have nuts?

I have a daughter that is allergic to tree nuts...

No. They have pods. The bean pods of the mesquite can be dried and ground into flour, adding a sweet, nutty taste to breads, or used to make jelly or wine.

nope. just lots of thorns, and TRULY great flavoring for steaks
