What is the best way to stop ilegal inmigration?

Someone said violence is not the answer. Something I usually agree with. But what would you have us do when people invade illegally, take much needed resources from our citizens, then laugh at us all and demand rights that they are not entitled to have? All while our government seriously contemplates giving them these rights against the wishes of the people. Should we just cry and take it up the tailpipe? Voting and writing to our representatives doesn't help. People are becoming more frustrated every day, and are tired of acting like helpless bleating sheep. How many times can someone rob you and your children, then laugh and say they had the right, before you do something?

Seriously, the best way to stop it is for all of us with brains to stand united and do whatever is necessary to stop this problem. Such as relentlessly reporting places who hire illegals, and protesting loudly in front of these businesses, just to start. And refuse to pay ridiculous fees to exercise our rights. If there are enough of us what can they do?

I like semiMBA's answer, but, the fine should be stiffer. Really let people know we mean business. It's going to be hard to get employers to stop HIRING them, they will find work or some, now don't everyone have a hissy I said SOME, might even turn to criminal activity. And to whoever that was, we aren't being racist, we wan't to PROTECT OUR COUNTRY AND OUR JOBS, I see you have a problem with the question, why are you here illegally? Why not go about comming here LEGALLY?

Secure our borders against illegal crossing, especially the Southern border.

Track foreigners here on a time restricted visa. If they don't leave the country without renewing their visa, place a federal warrent for their arrest.

Fine employers for hiring illegals and have them pay to deport any illegals they hire.

Criminally charge landlords who rent to illegals for assisting with a felony crime.

Give all law enforcement the right to arrest illegals and turn them over to the Border Patrol or the proper athorities to deport them.

Limit the social services available to illegals. If they need medical attention, give it to them, then deport them.

There is no simple solution. However, we can start by instituting two basic laws.

1. $10,000 fines for employing illegal immigrants. Jail time for repeat offenders. Make corporate CEO's personally liable for the actions of their subordinates who hire illegal immigrants. Put the burden of proof on the employer.

2. If you are caught here as an illegal alien, you are banned for life for applying for citizenship or coming to the US. Increase quotas for seasonal workers and have an easy permit process for these types of workers. Increase legal immigration channels.

Our country to stop catering to the illegal immigrants. Quit giving them jobs, give business and company owners huge fines or imprisonment for hiring illegals. Quit giving them medical, when good honest hard working US citizens, or seniors that used to be hard working US citizens can't even get any medical. Kick them all off welfare. That was a program orginally setup, to ASSIST families TEMPORARILY, UNTIL they were able to get a job after being out of work, and while they get back on there feet. Now it's just a program that people ABUSE, because they're lazy and don't want to get a job. If one of them gets arrested turn them over to the border patrol, don't just put them in our jails where all our tax dollars house them and feed them. Send them back to Mexico. Stop making communication so easy for them. Don't make it a highschool credit to graduate by taking Spanish class. If they're in our country, they ought to be able to speak english. You wouldn't believe how many mexicans I have met that know how to speak english, but pretend they don't and try to get you to speak spanish to them. I speak and understand some but I refuse to let them know that I do. After a few minutes of playing stupid on both our parts, amazingly enough they start speaking perfect fluent english. Never ceases to amaze me

Don't let anybody into the country. But that, for me, would be hard, because I'm a CHristian and I can't turn my back on my 'brothers and sisters in God's eyes'. So I say....they should wear a green card around their neck....ALL the time. Plus, why do they want to come illegally? The government gives our tax dollars for their welfare. They're set for life.
