I am a Methodist, and we will serve communion to all, as does the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The Episcoplians will give communion to any baptized Christian. The Catholics and Baptists only allow their own members to participate. What about the Lutherens, if I were to visit a Lutheren Church, could I take communion?

It does depend on which Lutheran Church you visit. I am a member of an ELCA congregation, and attended a Missouri Synod college.

ELCA has open communion.

Missouri Synod is closed, I learned this at our college chapel, when I was rather rudely told by a fellow student that I couldn't commune because I wasn't one of them...

I don't think you can, although I believe there has been some small breakthroughs in this area. I'm an Associate Pastor of a United Methodist Church and a 2nd year seminary student. Communion was one subject of discussion on my Corporate Worship class last year. Several years ago I attended my dads church in San Antonio (believe it was Missouri Synod) and although my wife and I, among others, were invited to the Communion rail, we were instructed to "cross" ourselves with our arms so the pastor knew to skip over us. To be honest, that was pretty insulting, so we didn't go up. But... I went to a wedding last year at a Lutheran Church, which included Communion, and there was a notice in the "program"saying that baptized Christians could take Communion, which we did.
