Weight loss occurs all over the body, not just around the middle. Exercises that target the middle will decrease it's size when combined with a proper diet and consistant activity.

Yes i read this article in womens world that said if you cut out 200 calories from your diet and walk 45-90 minutes a day you will lose up to 5 pounds a week.

Yes, you can. But, it really helps to strengthen up the ab muscles. Over time, many people's mid section becomes weak which allows their hips to pivot forward making it look as if they are larger in the belly then they are. Burn those calories, eat right, and do some crunches and leg lifts.

With proper nutrition, you will lose weight without exercising. But you really do need to exercise to be healthy and it will help you lose weight quicker.
