Not true at all, being dehydrated can shut your muscles down, you will loose sooo much strength you probably won't be able to lift anything. Water is key when doing any type of workout

Dehydration is a condition that occurs when a person loses more fluids than he or she takes in. Dehydration isn't as serious a problem for teens as it can be for babies or young children. But if you ignore your thirst, dehydration can slow you down.
Our bodies are about two thirds water. When someone gets dehydrated, it means the amount of water in his or her body has dropped below the level needed for normal body function. Small decreases don't cause problems, and in most cases, they go completely unnoticed. But losing larger amounts of water can sometimes make a person feel quite sick.

It is never helpful to be dehydrated before any type of excercise. The body sweats and needs water to perform. You may faint if you have not had any fluids and you are working up a sweat while lifting weights.

NO!
I don't know who told you that but dehydration makes your body weaker! How is that going to help you lift weights?
Besides, you can't lift wights if you die from dehydration!

SERIOUSLY not recommended. At best you'll end up with the worst cramps you have EVER had, at worst, you could be ending up with kidney failure, seizures and/or brain damage. Of course, if you're considering listening to this idiotic advice, you may already be brain damaged!!

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Your muscles HAVE to have water in order to function properly, not to mention grow. This is not only the opposite of helping them grow, but it is going to cause you to cramp, or pass out, or worse.

Your muscles will fatigue sooner, which will have you doing less reps and that won't help your muscles get bigger. And you'll likely pass out.
