I'm waiting for a student loan check. It was mailed today from FL. I live in WV. They said to give it 7 - 10 days, but I was wondering if anyone out there may know a more narrowed down answer. I was under the assumption it should be here in about 3 maybe 4 business days ....

I should take about seven days. I would wait seven days and if you dont recieve it by then i would call the loan company and the post office.

First class mail can arrive from across the country as quick as overnight. But since you can never tell, the loan people are advising you that it will probably take longer. 3 or 4 business days is probably right.

In anycase, once it was dropped in a mailbox, no one can do anything about making the letter arrive any sooner. Send an inquiry after about a week. It is possible that some one simply forgot to mail it, and is sitting under someone's blotter.

You are right but if there wasn't this coming weekend you'd probably get your cheque earlier. Maximum days is 7-10 for them so you should be getting it by before next Thursday for sure. Don't forget to check your mailbox that day!

Depends on your location. Best is to check the post office or go to www.usps.com Maybe they have answer there. Good luck!

If I were you, I would give it at least a week. They don't call it "snail mail" for nothing.
