Jelloshots anyone?

Question

I am planning to have a house party and want to serve jelloshots. Can you please help me out and give me some tips? I also want to know what alcoholic drink tastes good on what jello flavor. =D

I can't remember where, but I saw margarita flavored jello- just add tequilla!
I have a tip for your jello shots though- If you use too much alcohol in them they won't set up. To remedy this and still be able to have good, strong jello shots, add a pkg of plain unflavored gelatin to the hot water you use- I'd use 3/4 cup of boiling water, 1pkg of unflavored gelatin, 1 pkg of flavored jello, and 1 1/4 cups of liquor- chilled in the freezer first so the jello sets up more quickly. One cup is 8 fluid ounces, and one shot is 1-1 1/2 ounces depending on the bartender, so plan accordingly on how many people you're inviting, what other drinks will be served and how drunk you really want your guests to be!

Me- I'm usually the one licking the plate they were served on so nothing goes to waste... I love jello shots!

I've found that if you make the jello in a 9 inch by 13 inch pan, you can cut it into squares that are easier to eat than traditional jello shots are. There is also less clean up involved after the party.. To make the jello(this recipe is for one 3oz package. I usually double it), place the jello powder in a mixing bowl, add one envelope unflavored gelatin (this keeps the jello firm) add one cup boiling water and stir for two minutes, add one quarter cup cold water and three quarters cup cold booze, stirr and refrigerate for at least four hours, I prefer overnight. When I'm going to empty the pan, I set in sone hot water in the sink for about 10-20 seconds and then tip in on a cookie sheet to cut it.. Black cherry goes good with vodka ( usually add maraschino cherries) Orange goes good with a combination of white rum and malibu , equal parts of each (I usually ad Mandrian Orange sections) Most of the citrus flavors go with rum, malibu or vodka. If you can find Pina Colada jello, it's great with malibu, but I've only found it twice. Raspberry jello goes good with raspberry vodka. If you want to get fancy with the citrus ones, sprinkle a little coconut on them before you cut them. With the berry flavors, the corresponding berry is always good mixed in the jello. The same goes for the citrus flavors. Just remember to add them as soon as you put the jello in the pan. Good luck with your party.

Jello Jolly Rancher

2 packages Peach Jello
2 Cups Apple Pucker
2 Cups Cranberry Juice

Boil the Cranberry Juice and use it in place of boiling water.

Tastes just like a Jolly Rancher candy, but will give you a good buzz

I have a girlfriend who makes the best jello shots. My fave is cream de caoco and cherry (chocolate covered cherry). She also adds extra plain gelitan so they set up a bit firmer. They can sit out all night and not get mushy.

Or try tequila, lime jello, and a little sour mix....margarita flavored!

Depends on the flavors of jello
Watermellon- Watermellon Pucker
Orange- Vodka
Apple- apple pucker

Anything is good with vodka, if u like more of a kick, use tequilla!!
Just remember, 3/4 vodka to 1/4 water, and you will be A OK!!

only use clear alcohol (gin, vodka, bacardi, etc..) and it really doesn't matter, they all pretty much blend 2gether good, it's gonna be jello, for crying out loud...they're gonna love em....have fun
