Simple answer, increase the amount of protein in your diet. Protein is essential for hair growth. Eat more fish, beans and other high protein food. It won't be a dramatic increase, but it helps.

Your hair will grow regardless. Just wash and deep condition @ LEast once a week. Also before you wash do a hot oil treatment with a scalp massage. This stimulates the hair folicles. You can do a scalp massage every night to increase blood flow to that region.. Also black hair may seem like it takes longer to grow because it has to grow in a coil (curly) most caucasions or asians have straight hair folicles. And dont use that heavy crap (hairfood) it will just wiegh down your hair and make it greasy and nasty and make dirt attract it. I suggest using Mizani products even sold @ JC penny or upscale black catered salons. The cream is the best

She's right!!! our hair may not seem to look like its growing, but Black people's hair grows just as fast as White, Hispanic, and Asian people. Its just that we (meaning black/ethnic people) do not know how to take care of our hair.

We put chemicals in it to make it straighter whereas if we leave it natural like other races, we will see our hair grow. When have you ever in history seen black people leave their hair alone??? We're always doing SOMETHING to our hair, in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and up to now... we NEVER let our hair rest.... coincidence???

Don't listen to these white people...lol, they have different hair from us. so they don't understand. use Profectiv growth formula you should be able to find it in any black hair store...it did me wonders. or just start simply braiding your hair then taking it out and treating it every month. i promise you that will help.
