this is wrong in the sense god gave people free will to choose or deny god so to force someone to beleive in what you preach or die is against everything that god stands for and shows that the muslim faith only preaches hatred and not love! but also remember god still loves them even if they are denying gods will on all the people!

There are actually NO (that's ZERO) verses in the Qur'an which prescribe death as a punishment for conversion from Islam (apostacy). All punishment for apostasy comes from Hadiths, which are like additions and amendments to the Qur'an. Hadiths were written by men who lived long after Mohammad. They are not from Mohammad, and Muslims declare Mohammad as the "last prophet". Therefore the Hadiths cannot be God's word, which makes Sharia (Islamic law) nothing more than MAN's law, not GOD's law. When a Muslim declares Sharia to be God's will, they are not only insulting God, but violating their own law! Someday, progressive Muslims might clean up Islam, and bring it into the 21st century. Until that day, Islam is a threat to human rights and God's greatest gift: FREE WILL.

Just imagine how many people would be on DEATH ROW if all religions had the same twisted evil extremist policies as Islamic "law" (Sharia) Converting from one religion to another, or making religious jokes about God, Jesus, or otherwise is justification for MURDER? I don't think so, and nor does 80% of the world's population. That's about 5.6 billion non-Muslims vs. 1.4 billion Muslims.

It is the Job of the muslims to show the right path to the world till the day of judgement, as prophethood has stopped, but this is not to be done forcefully. Those who do so r themselves away from the true path. May God help them and all of us. It is absurd for anyone to suggest that Islam advocates killing people who choose to leave Islam. To kill anyone who chooses to follow a religion other than Islam is against the fundamental teachings of the Qur'an. Freedom of conscience is a fundamental principle of the Qur'an that is clearly stated. Thus, if apostates cause no harm to the Muslim community and do not call for spreading hostility towards Islam, they should not to be punished; rather they should be advised kindly and wisely to learn the truth about Islam.
