I'm waiting for a student loan check. It was mailed today from FL. I live in WV. They said to give it 7 - 10 days, but I was wondering if anyone out there may know a more narrowed down answer. I was under the assumption it should be here in about 3 maybe 4 business days ....

If it was actually mailed and the USPS actually has possession of it, from FL it should be in WV within 2 days. More likely, they are processing it and it will take a couple of days to get it physically out in the mail. They could also be padding their time estimate because occassionally things do get slowed down for whatever reason in the mail.

You are correct in your estimation of 3-4 business days. The 7-10 business day quote the post office give is simply to cover their own ***.

Damn, I have no idea what they are doing if it is going to take 7-10 days. Like you said, normally 4 buisness days are the max. I get boxes from eBay via normal mail quicker than 7-10 days.

Depends if it was mailed before 10:00am.Mail is sent to the main office at 10:00 here, then goes to be sorted downtown.Another factor is the size of the envelope,if it isa standered size it is machine sorted,if it is a different size it must be hand sorted.
