Here is the regimen that I use when my hair gets extremely dry in winter and summer:

Once or twice a week:

Massage a dollop of mayonnaise into your hair and leave it on for one hour OR comb olive oil through your hair with a wide tooth comb and leave on all night (shampooing it out in the morning).

Shampoo (choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair. I use Pantene Pro-V.)

Condition your hair and leave conditioner on for 5 minutes (after I put conditioner on, I pull my hair back with a scrunchie while I wash the rest of my body…this takes 5 minutes or longer. I also use Pantene Pro-V conditioner).

Towel dry (do not blow dry unless you HAVE to, it will make dry hair even dryer!). Apply a dab of VO5 Conditioning Hairdressing from about the middle of your hair to the tips. Do not apply it to the roots or your hair will look greasy. (It comes in a tube. The box it is packaged in is gold colored).

Style as usual.

For the rest of the week:

Use the VO5 just on the VERY ENDS of your hair….every morning before styling.

I have curly hair too. I usually buy leave-in conditioner but when I dont have any whenever I take a shower I dont wash all the conditioner of my hair, I leave some of it.

You could, but it wouldn't achieve anything. Why don't you get a really good haircut to get your hair back in condition. Maybe you're also lacking vitamins? Putting a conditioner on overnight won't achieve anything more than putting it on for a few minutes would - except to make you uncomfy.

I don't see why not the longer you leave in the conditioners the better the results

Yeppers indeed you can.. wear a showercap or put a towl on your pillow tho.. and if you are going sunbathing you can put conditioner in your hair and tie it back so it stays moisturised in the sun.. :]

it would be too hard to remove it and it will make a mess. Just leave it on for an hour and then rinse it out.
