After seeing a lot of these answers, I'd like to know what the craziest thing TSA has taken from you saying it can't go through the checkpoint. I've worked for TSA for two years and seems some airports are still taking things they're not suppose to. So I was just wondering, and if you don't mind say what airport, I will be moving soon and want to know if one of the airports I could be at is going against the rules.

My neighbor was traveling from Newark NJ back to Alaska with her niece and nephew. Security confinscated the 2 year olds Mickey Mouse spoon! The kid had a fit, it was his favorite spoon! Why they took it, how the hell knows. Sometimes, and I mean no offense to you because you work there, I think some of the security people are on a power trip, and make thier decisions according to that instead of the laws. A Mickey Mouse spoon, come on! I could see if it was a knife, or even a spork!

I used to fly a great deal on business, I think that TSA has a virtually impossible job. No matter what you do people complain.

I had my staple remover confiscated in Memphis. I had been flying all over the country with it for years, not sure what was different that time.

I carry my darts with me where ever I go - they're in a hard case, and they have plastic tips. Security once made me unscrew the plastic tips from the darts. Huh? Like I could hurt anyone with them in the first place, and in the second place, like I couldn't just open it up and screw the tips back on? That one had me baffled.

Well they haven't taken anything from me as of yet, but I did have a hair straightener with me one time and they kept backing the belt up to scan and rescan it, probably thinking it was a weapon! lol needless to say they let me go.

I am a flight attendant, they took away my hair piece because it had wires in it and it kept beeping. They returned it the next day.
