If you mumble then you are either not confident of yourself or you are not sure of what you are saying......for both of these problems you need to believe in yourself and think before you speak......if you have to speak a bit slowly, do so but speak clearly and confidently........even if you are not sure of what you are saying make it sound like you know exactly what you are saying. The way you talk is directly related to the kind of person you are.....so be careful. And about your deep voice, that's not much of a problem. In fact it's good, i.e if you are a guy.

Not too many people like the sound of their own voice on a recording.

There is an organization called ToastMasters that is just for people who want to speak better.
If you do not want to go that route, just keep practicing and taping your voice until it sounds the way you would like it to.
Speak distinctly and slowly, and remember that you voice never sounds the same to you as it does on tape.
Good luck!

I know right? I have the same problem. I guess some of the ways that could help is read out loud and focus your words... like listen to yourself and to what'cha saying. Pronounce as much as you can and maybe you'll mumble less.

Take a forensics, speech, or theatre class. Practice speaking clearly and more precisely to yourself. Make sure that you are standing up straight and aren't fidgeting. Speak as though you have something important to say!

It's common for people's voices to sound weird when recorded. If you're concerned, you should look into elocution lessons, or acting lessons, where they teach how to project your voice.

There's some public speaking course you can take...they teach you about some speaking stuff....how to talk and pronounce better, how to handle your intonation and how to speak clearly and not to fast...stuff like that...
I joined the course and it helped me a lot, not just solving my speaking problem, but i have more confidence speaking in public now...it's good...you should try!

Actually, an acting class may help with that... Or a speech class, but I suggest the acting. Much more fun!
