i'm eighteen years old and have wanted to box for years but my parents didnt let me. i tried karate etc but it didnt do it for me so now i am starting boxing in secret. do you think by strting at this age i've still got a chance at being pro. (p.s. i weight train and skip so am semi fit already) if you have famous examples and ages this would be good to know.

Why don't you go back to the kitchen and bake some more cakes and stop this nonsense about women in sports....

Try get into Muay Thai. say it's a karate. However Muay Thai is actually as brutal and very similar to boxing.

bas Rutten started very late and yet he's probably greatest mixed martial artist of his time. There's many many Muay Thai fighter who started as late as 20's and manage to grab few titles in their career.

I don't know much about boxers beside few big names. So I cannot really give much names. but Marciano Rocky start learn boxing when he was 20.

Plus you're 18 so you can go and do boxing if you want to.

Ali and Joe Fraziers daughters are into boxing now. But I would like to see the full time usage of padded head gear for ALL boxers
