Making the assumption you meant:
10=5x/(2x-3)

10(2x-3)=5x
20x-30=5x
15x=30
x=2

10 * (2x-3) = 5x (now multiply 10 by 2x and 10 by -3)

20x-30 = 5x

20x = 5x+30

15x = 30

x=2

it can probably be solved in shorter steps...but I like to keep numbers positive, that's just me. (you could have went right to
-30=-15x ...but it's all the same)

Going with the other guy's assumption:

10 = 5x/(2x-3)
10(2x-3) = 5x/(2x-3)(2x-3)
20x - 30 = 5x
-20x + 20x - 30 = 5x - 20x
-30 = -15x
-30/-15 = -15x/-15

therefore:

2 = x

I'm sure that's in your textbook.

Hint: get rid of the fraction.
