i am also curious do how you guys know, and what to do at that point. people make mistakes, how do you keep her from straying.

When we feel comfortable with her, when i can be totally honest with her & not worry about impressions. & yes i made mistakes . . .& now she is gone :(
Now that i think of it. . as humans we tend to take things for granted. . esp. the ones we love. for ex. we all love our parents to death . .but dont necessarily show it on a daily basis.
wat iam trying to say is. . always try to treat her like it was Day one. . that's when u impressed the s**t out of her!. . so, keep that flame. .

I found her when we were both 15. Deep down I knew she was the one, but I was too young and inexperienced to know how to overcome problems we encountered. I lost her at age 20.
25 years later she made contact. 2 divorces and 5 years after that we were married.

You know she's a nice girl- or you wouldn't be with her- and then she puts you in a corner, and you want to tie her up in the bonds of matrimony. Or that's how it happened with me.
Nine years married, now, and it seems to keep getting better. Though I am vastly read; and I know how to make a person feel special and happy.- basically never argue and only say nice things.

My guy told me he knew it was time to propose when I showed him that I was loyal to him above anyone else, and I had the stamina to keep working hard through a really difficult situation without complaint. It was who I was - not fake - and one day he saw it and decided to propose.

If you do find 'the one' you can never be fully sure. I think people get to a point where they find someone great and don't bother looking for anything greater.

The day we bring home a girl that doesn't argue when told to go get us another beer from the fridge, we simply know she's the one!

they know they have found the one when they can't spend a day without seeing or hearing they're beloved. they also know it's the one when they fell like that's all they need to complete themselves. they basically have a sense which tells them.
