I have a few varmint guns that I set at 6 oz to 1 lb
My target rifles are set at 3-6oz.
I have 3 Ruger 10/22's that have been customized-one has a KIDD 2 stage trigger that is set at 1 pound with a 2 oz break the other 2 have Volquartzen trigger groups set at around 6 oz
My PSG-1 had a 10oz trigger
My AR-15 A3 Elite was redone to 10 oz-any less and the action would set it off

This is strictly a personal preference. I personally do not like a hair trigger. I like it to be around 3lbs. Many like it below that as the others have stated .5 to 2 lbs. I suggest you start higher and work your way down to a comfortable pull for you. Starting at a higher weight is safer also. Good luck and straight shooting to you.

I agree with Black Sabbath, although different peole have different preferences. Some like the hair trigger whereas some like a little more delay. I'm in the middle there personally :-)

Line up your shot as you inhale. Exhale as you smoothly pull the trigger.
