I love starbucks....I dont know what the effects of that much caffeine do for an 11 year old.
Why are you giving an 11 year old coffee anyway? IS the child asking for it?

caffeine is bad for anyone, but especially at that age! It's been known to stunt growth. Keep kids away from coffee and soda for as long as possible! Thats why these recent generations are so short. Most 2nd graders have 2 starbucks a day where I'm at, and they're all extremely short. Kinda wierd to be feeding kids junk all the time.

I don't really like starbucks coffee because they over-roast it and instead of bringing out the flavor it's got a burnt taste. Nothing is really bad for an 11 year old, if it's in moderation. The same goes for you btw. If you really want to treat your child at starbucks instead of a coffee get them either a hot chocolate or one of their frothy frou-frou drinks with whipped cream and such, although that's arguably worse for their health than coffee.

STARBUCKS ROX. caramel macchiato rules. i go there so often i probably own stock in the co.
as far as an 11 yr olds concerned, they have frozen drinks that have a coffee flavor like mocha.
i really wouldnt make a habit of giving any1 under 14 2 much coffee.

Yea, coffee is bad for someone that young. But if they insist on having something from starbucks then get them one of the cold drinks like the vanilla bean

No coffee for kids ever; Starbucks is too strong. I prefer Dunkin' Donuts.

I love coffee, but I'm not that fond of Starbucks - it's a little too strong and bitter tasting to me. Dunkin Donuts better suits my taste.
I grind my own beans. Kona coffee that I buy in BJ's Wharehouse and brew it in my Bunn Coffee maker, and it's great.

it can decrease you total height by ~1-2" if you drink it all the time. So can tea. The research has not reached the total significance necessary to make an excellent statistical case, but its looking this way. Drink decaf, you should be fine.
Personally, I love starbucks. But I love roasting green beans. Then grinding them myself.
