It is so common for girls who never got (or get) much attention and affection from their fathers to crave male attention. They get off on making a guy like them and they feel more worthy.
Insecure guys do the same thing for the same reason. It's needy, clingy, and passive-aggressive.
Giving gifts is not a show of love to a woman. Doing things for her (favors, chores, thoughtful things) so she doesn't have to, is.
Maybe she is taking advantage of you by wanting gifts all the time. Maybe she is trying to make you love her with all of the romantic expectations.
You cannot "make" anyone love you. She needs to learn that.
Check out how she is with her parents. See whay their dynamic is. That is a big "tell" about who she is....
Take care and good luck!

Women are lead by their heart, men are lead by their penis.
If you want tobe successful with women long term, you need to change your way of thinking.
Just do this: Take away reason & accountability, and theirs the mind set you are looking for.
Don't ask why, just do. Follow the feelings, that's what they do.
Women don't need a big gift, anything will do.
Buy her a chocolate bar and drop by and tell her you were thinking of her, then leave. Drop by with a star bucks cup of mocha for her. These don't cost much, but do show you care for her. Simple things are what they want.

U should, it's not about doing. That is the time, ur making an impression u know! Ur a bit ignorant to sound that ALL girls do. That's how u date, duh. It doesn't mean ur attached. U are dating ROMANTICALLY, ur not friends. Get it. ROMANTICALLY. She's older, not a teen so she's not in love w love. Ur old enough to know u expect to! She wants to settle down within 3 years. U should be more romantic!

Not all girls are! I HATE mushy stuff and romance is very uncomfortable for me. As far as buying her gifts, that makes her sound like a gold digger. Just tell her how you feel and if she gets all pissy with you, ditch her and find someone more like me. LOL

I could say the same thing about guys. I started dating a male friend of mine and he kept trying to jump way past dating to relationship status, starting telling me how much he loved me. I look at it this way, you may have loved me as a friend but loving in a relationship is different.

She wants to be loved. Maybe you should just explain your feelings to her in a gentle way and see if you can give it a real shot. If she doesn't back off, then move on. But at least sit down and explain things to her....chances are she doesn't really know what she's doing.

Well, I'm always afraid to be attached... I don't want my guy to think I'm some whack-o. So, I let him make a lot of the moves... But now that we've been together forever... there's not many moves to make.

most women dont get it, so its a constant crave. take things slow, she wont go nowhere, then sweep her off her feet. if you start being romantic now when you just met her, she's going to want it all the time, and if you cant produce she is not going to be happy.

Tell her to take it slow, you don't want to get serious so soon.
Girls are'nt the only ones who get "obssesive" or whatever.
Some times you just have to be blunt, so they will get the pic.
Just don't play head games,....be honest straight up.
