You can, but with dish detergent. They're not old enough to be able to take the flea shampoos. The dish detergent should do just fine. Buy a flea comb and use it while washing them.Don't forget to be gentle.

You have to get the fleas off from the kittens or they can lose too much blood from the fleas biting them. A bath isn't a good ideal for kittens.
What I use is a garden dust called SEVEN. It is safe to use on kittens. Take them outside when you are dusting them with it. Keep the dust out of their eyes and nose. Make sure that you wash the bedding every few days with just a pinch of bleach and laundry soap. Treat the mother too, and any other pets that you might have that runs on the floor.( Mice probably won't have fleas if they are never on the floor.)
Vacuum the floor every day
Another trick that I have used is to get a round cake pan with one squirt of dish soap, and half full of water. Put the pan near the back of a couch near a light socket, so you can plug in a nightlight. When it is quiet in the house at night, fleas will jump into the water and drown.

Seven is really cheap, and will last your for years. You can even sprinkle a little by your doors if you have grass or dirt near it. Sand fleas like to go on cats too.

First of all, DO NOT use flea products on them. They are too young. It will make them deathly sick. Secondly, I would highly recommend you talking to your vet. Giving them a bath may make them too cold afterwards. You really don't want your kittens to freeze to death. I don't think there is too much you can do right now since they are so young. Talk to the vet right away.

Going on, mom has fleas. Do not use flea products on her, yet. Wait until she has weaned the kittens. If not, the kittens will pick up the chemicals on her and may get sick. Then bathe her in PertPlus (kills adult fleas). Once she is dried, apply PurrScriptions flea drops on her back. Do not use flea collars, flea soap, or flea powders as these products have a tendency to irritate and burn the skin. PurrScriptions can be picked up at PetSmart for about $12 for a three month supply. I find it works just as well as Frontline.

Hope this helps!

Yes you can but it has to be with baby shampoo. It might not help too much for fleas but they are still too small to be bathed with flea shampoo. Your best bet is to take the fleas out by hand. I've heard from a vet that you can rub them with alcohol but that was for a puppy so I'm not sure if it would apply to kittens as well. Why don't you call a Vet. Clinic and just ask, I'm sure they can give you some advise as to what might help.

Yes, but you need to read the instructions to make sure that it is okey for kittens of that age. Some solutions are too harsh for kittens as they absorb through their skin. A dip bath is the most effective, but you may need to use a spray. Read the warning label.

I agree that it is imperative that you get the fleas off the kittens because they can make the kittens very anemic. I would call the vet and see what product you can use on the babies. Good luck.

regardless of a cat's age you can't bathe them and get atwer in their eyes...
for the time being I recommend waiting until the 16th of the coming month...kitten bodies are EXTREMELY fragile in the begining (you wouldn't imagine it!)
But you seriously insist then damp your hand with WARM water and caress them...don't get them too wet so they don't catch cold...wrap them in warm blankets afterwasrds and preferably keep them in the sun...
This is the best way (and the most comfortable for the kittens) that I can currently think of...
Good Luck ;-)...and BE CAREFULL...(You are handling lifes between your hands :-)

My question is WHY DO THEY HAVE FLEAS?? I've seen this a lot, my kittens have fleas, WHY?

I've had dogs my whole life and have never had ONE case of flea infestion. I've had to remove only ONE tick from one of my dogs only once. I don't understand why you have fleas. There ARE ways to prevent fleas.
