If I came home and found out my bf had a sex change, then I'd probably have been gone a very long time. He would have had to live as a women full time for at least a year before he could get the operation.
Seriously...if it made him happy, so be it. The relationship would change though. I'm sure we could remain friends, but anything romantic or sexual would be gone as far as I was concerned.

Now that I have cleaned the iced tea off my computer monitor after I spit it out reading your question: How long were you gone? A sex change takes a long time. If I were bi, it would probably be okay. If I were straight, I would say, "Good-bye".
