Sometimes when I stand up and start to walk, my vision goes away and all i see is black and white mess (like when your on a tv chanel that doesnt come in and is all staticky) it last for about 5-8 seconds. I dont actually faint, but ive wound up on the floor leaning aginst the wall on my worst times. other times i just have to stop because it feels like all my enerygy has been momentarily drained from me and its really lagging to move. this happens at least 7 or 8 times a day. I'm only 14. I dont smoke or drink or do drugs. I play sports and am not overweight. What could be wrong? Should I consult a doctor?

You need start getting up slowly. Don't be so quick to jump up when you're sitting or bending down. Drink plenty of water; allways stay hydrated. You may want to tell your parents about what's happening to you, and suggest getting tested for anemia.

Well i think that you should cause that would happen to me all the time. I never went to the doctor but i probably should of. I would lay for a while than when i would get up I'd fall down and it seemed like the room was spinning. Sometimes I'd wake up with painful headaches that felt like some one hit me while i was sleeping, even when i was awake I'd still get them. You should really go cause if it happens daily than it could be serious

What you are experiencing is called orthostatic hypotension. When you are sitting down the blood is pooling in your legs. When you quickly stand up, your blood pressure is too low to get adequate blood all the way up to your brain right away. It's not harmful and isn't something that should be a big concern. It's pretty common - just try to stand up slower :)

One possibility is sinus issues.
They can affect your inner ear, which relates to your balance.

If you have sinus infections which get down in to your ears, not only can you have balance issues, but you can suffer headaches.

It could also be blood sugar issues, or your diet needs to be more healthy.

A doctor can diagnose sinus or blood sugar issues, but 99% of doctors have no clue about diet.

This is a result of blood draining from the brain; it happens most when you stand up too fast.
I would talk to your doctor about it, if it is happening that often.

Talk to your mom about this, she should set you up an appointment to see a doctor.
