I believe that its because most people are not interested in the truth...they want to be comforted that everything will be okay. So they pick a religion which best fits their needs.

some want to find out if there is logic behind things because thats how some think. if they dont believe in god then nothing will make sense in the world and how it is made. i think being religious is just being involved in a religion but when u become a child of god you are then spiritually a person.

Too right. But remember, dear, that if'n you don't PRACTICE what you believe, you might as well not believe, for "faith without works is dead".

And part of that practice includes worship. For courtesy's sake, if nothing else, you'd probably want to do the way He's decided pleases Him best. And that means religion, for that is all religion is, how to worship God in the world in a fashion that pleases Him.

Because most people don't care about the mysteries of the universe and life. They just want to believe in a religion - any religion - that promises them immortality.

Because, they are looking in all the wrong places. The Deceiver is in the world, and leads people blindly into all sorts of lies and pitfalls. That's why Christians must GO into all lthe world as commanded, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Amen to that there is all kinds of religion but just because you are religous doesn't mean you are spiritual

Being "spiritual" is just being wishy washy. It is for people who are not commited enough to either join a religion or admit that there is no God.

When you say "being spiritual," you mean imaginative?

Ever notice how many different directions people head when they are just "being spiritual?" And you want to call that way, "truth?"

True, but one can be religious and spiritual at the same time.

In fact, for those of us who adhere to the doctrines, teachings, and rituals of the Church that Christ Himself founded, religion and spirituality go hand in hand.
