I need a chart to convert Tank Size to Gallons. ex. 14' dia. X 20' High = ? gallons. Where could I find such a chart.

the other answers are ok if the tank is vertical, however, it the tank is horizontal the volume calcs are more difficult. you can calculate horizontal volume total and generate "dipstick vs. volume" chart at:

or make your own in Excel. tank volume = pi*r^2*length = cubic ft volume....CF X 7.481 = gallons

Volume of tank = 3.14 x (radius squared) x height
All in feet will = cubic feet

1 gallon = 0.13368 cubic feet

To make a table, do the above math for each increment you want to have on the table.

Given an infinite number of combinations of diameter and height, it would be a mighty big chart.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply calculate the volume of the tank and convert that? 1 gallon has a volume of 231 cubic inches (0.1336 cubic feet).
