I am just curious to know if there are any other mums with such a big age difference between their kids??

this is a serious question but I quite like witty answers (might give the 10 points to the wittiest) (but then again I may not.......)

By the way I forgot to mention that my grandson is 9 yrs old therefore 2 yrs older than his aunt!! thanks for the answers so far..... my brain is tired with calculating the age differences (old age and poverty being the cause) so help me out here and state the age gap please. By the way some answerers seem to thik that I consider the age diff to be a problem.. I don't! I think it's great!

My illegitimate son is 43 and my illegitimate daughter is 7. It hasn't really affected their relationship, though. When they go out to bars together she just uses a sippy cup.

My mother in law has five boys. One is 38, one is 34 one is 27, my hubby is 25 and the youngest is 12. It's not that bad. Except my hubby is really the only brother the 12 year old connects with. We live in the same town. The other three brothers live between 2-4 hours away. All in different towns. Personally I think its harder on the parents than it is on the kids. My mother in law just turned 55 yesterday. Best of luck.

My dad decided to wait 22 years before having another child. I'm his eldest, I have a step sister 6 months older than me, and our brother is 3 now, born exactly 1 month before my father's birthday. My step mom thinks it's pretty neat. She raised her daughter all by herself, so now with my dad helping out and the conflicts in discipline, etc. that come up it's a different world for her. Not to mention being a bit older this time around. It's kinda funny- I have a child who's older than my own brother.

My hubby has 6 children from a previous marriage - oldest is 30, the youngest will be 5 at the beginning of August! The eldest was born when her mother was 17.

Have an aunt that has three kids---eldest son is now 52---daughter is now 46 and her last son is just now 30---so you only have her beat by like a year here

She freaked the whole family out when she announced that last pregnancy---and there was talk within the family at that time that it had to have been an alien abduction that created it .......

My mom is 58. Her youngest brother is 36. My mom and her mom (nana) were pregnant at the same time. My sister was born in Jan, '70. My uncle was born in Feb. '70. So, when my uncle was born he was already an uncle to a 1 month old.

Hi,I am not a mom ! but I think a distant more than 10 years between child's couldn't make a problem because the biggest child will help his brothers and sisters to have better life .

think it's brill that your bod is still working properly after 23years. well done you. i have said no more babies when i am 40, so have only 8 years left, but my eldest lad is 12 now so in theory there could be a 20 year gap between my eldest and youngest. at the moment there is 8 years between eldest and youngest and it works quite well.

I'm not a mother. lol. But my brother is 16 years older than me (he's 35 and I'm 19) and I've got another brother who's 16 years younger than I. Believe me, there's nothing wrong with that. I get along perfectly well with my big bro.
