I did not know that jews believed that. They might think that christians believe this to be so, specifically they might think that Catholics believe this. However, Catholics belive that the Pope is the Holy Father, Not to be confused when we refer to God as the Father. The Pope is the earthly vessle from which God works. Catholics take the Popes word as Gods word, because they have a direct connection with God. Also, the Pope is the decendent of Peter, the Dome of the Rock. The Foudner of the Catholic Faith, just as Jesus Commanded him. Therefore, all religions were splinters of the Catholic faith. Even though Baptists claim they were started by John the Baptist, this is not true. There was no Baptist Church until the schism from the Catholic church. They just claim to subscribe to the teachings of John the Baptist in accordance to Jesus.

What in the world have you been reading? The Jews believe in God all right, but certainly have nothing to do with the Pope. The Pope belongs to the Catholics.

The Jews don't even think Christians follow the Correct God, much less that the Pope IS God. ROFLMAO.

The Pope is Catholic, not Jewish. The Jews don't follow the Pope, it isn't even the same religion.

this question is either intentionally stupid or entirely ignorant

NOBODY thinks the pope is God (not even catholics who revere the pope)

and Jews have no relationship with the pope whatsoever and virtually every believing Jew would consider him the leader of a heretical off-shoot of their religion

They don't. They believe in God the Father, but not Jesus as God. They don't even follow the Pope. If you mean Catholics, you're still incorrect, but I have no idea why the Catholics like that guy. He's just some old priest to me.
much love!

I think you might be a bit confused...the pope is Catholic and Jews don't think anything about him at all.
