Isaiah warns of coming chaos:

24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. 24:2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; ... 24:3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. 24:4 The earth mourneth [and] fadeth away, the world languisheth [and] fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

Then he says WHY this will happen:

24:5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. 24:6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, ...

The New Testament advocates all three of these things

1. Transgressing the Law:
•Galatians 3:13
•Galatians 3:24
•Romans 7:6
•Galatians 5:
•Hebrews 7:12
•Romans 4:13-16

•Colossians 2:20

3. Breaking the Everlasting:
•Colossians 2:16
•Galatians 5:2
•Hebrews 7:12

excellent post. I'm going to have to remember this one. (it's definitely more apropos than the supposed messianic nature of isaiah 7:14.)

Please for the love of God keep scripture in context. If you going to quote something use the entire chapter. First things first. Isaiah was a prophet. In the 23rd chapter of Isaiah he is talking about the destruction of the city Tyre. He continues this theme in chapter 24 God's condemnation on those who do not believe nor trust in Him. This applies to all who don't believe in God Now in vs 14-16 God chooses to spare a remant of those who have, despite all of the sin going on around, not fallen away and have continued to serve God faithfully. That is the old testament which point to the fact that Man is totally and utterly sinful. The need for a Savior is very apperant to the reader. Yes if you trangress the law you will die. That means any part of the law you break you have broken them all. Now The verses above in the new testament that you quoted you forget the most important point of Romans Justification is by faith alone. The law only points to your need for salvation because you can't keep the law. None of it. See Romans 3:26. But through Jesus Christ's perfect sacrifice he becomes the end of the law. Not that the law is destroyed but that through him our payment(propititation) is made in full to God. See Romans Chapter 3 and 4. This the the meat of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Finally, Read Romans 10:4 " For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone that believes." This is the exclaimation point for the entire book of Romans. Christ basically is the end of trying to keep the law which we all know we cant keep. The only way to be in a right relationship with God is through Christ Jesus.
Happy reading.

this may be a bit easier to read
See, the LORD is going to lay waste the earth
and devastate it;
he will ruin its face
and scatter its inhabitants-
2 it will be the same
for priest as for people,
for master as for servant,
for mistress as for maid,
for seller as for buyer,
for borrower as for lender,
for debtor as for creditor.
3 The earth will be completely laid waste
and totally plundered.
The LORD has spoken this word.
4 The earth dries up and withers,
the world languishes and withers,
the exalted of the earth languish.
5 The earth is defiled by its people;
they have disobeyed the laws,
violated the statutes
and broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Therefore a curse consumes the earth;
its people must bear their guilt.
Therefore earth's inhabitants are burned up,
and very few are left

galations 3
13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." 14He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

23Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. 24So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ[h] that we might be justified by faith. 25Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.

I have not read all the other adress's but do not get your point Jesus fullfilled the sacrifices

If you read further, you read:

"24:10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

24:11 There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone."

So obviously, this is about prohibition that already happened in the 20's. People were in the streets crying for drink, which resulted in the mob, which resulted in gun fire, which is why people closed their doors at times.

Hey, if you can take text out of the Bible and out of context, so can I.

This prophecy is for the Jews. don't you see what happened to them. The Romans came and destroyed their lands. The Romans had no pity for even the priests. The land was empty, spoiled by the Romans. Isaiah prophesied about the new covenant which is the blood of Christ.

Just the opposite, Isaiah predicted Christ's coming and death on the cross to save men from their sins,:

"He was wounded for OUR transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities..."

Start understanding what is recorded in the Bible my friend before you try to teach others!
