Depends. I've played the game from both sides. I've been the type of guy to go after stupid girls just for the sex, but I've also been the one who looks for a smart girl to have a relationship with.
Both are rewarding in their own respects, but I have to admit that a relationship with a smart girl lasts much longer than the other.
I'm human, I accept that, and you should too because nobody is perfect. This isn't something that is a matter of one or the other either, it's a matter of personal preference.
You don't know what you really like until you've tried everything. Making a choice without doing so is a choice made in ignorance.

Book smart is nice, but not as important as common sense smart, or at least a respect for learning. I once knew a woman who wasn't very smart at all, but she had a lot of common sense and didn't scoff at things she didn't understand; I miss her.
I'm not too impressed by people who don't like to be challenged.

Ma'am,Definitely a smart one. There's nothing more stimulating than a person who knows about world events and is able to hold a conversation and debate on topics of different kinds, than one who thinks Iraq is somewhere in Russia (Don't ask, it's happened.)
