I have the exact same problem. What I do is right after I get out of the shower, I put in a leave in conditioner and pomade and brush it in. I usually just put it up in a twist for a little bit, and take it out. Sometimes it's still a bit wet though, even if you take your hair dryer to it while its up in the twist, that would work. Take it out, and don't brush your hair then. Just use your hands to work in more pomade and don't ring it through your hair. Kinda grab your hair and squish it and let it go... Hope that makes sense lol. You can use hairspray if you like, but I never use it. I just use the pomade. You can get tons of different kinds, and just like any other product, some don't work as well as others. Something I used to do, was right after my shower at night, put rollers in, over night (SO UNCOMFORTABLE) and take it out in the morning and work in a pomade or something similar... without brushing. You can do it all with your hands.

Good luck! :)

I do as well and I try and use gel/ mousse when wet and blow dry with a round brush from the roots this gives a little "lift". I try and watch every time I go the hair dresser to get tips on how to do it right. Or dry up-side down to give it a lift as well. It's hard in this heat to do anything. Curlers/hot rollers also will give it some body. Depending on how long your hair is will determine how difficult it will be for you to get the body you are looking for. next time you go to the hair dressers, ask while they are styling your hair, they'll give you "free" tips since you are already paying them to sit in their chair.

You should cut it in layers, long good hair is difficult to style into waves or you can do rollers and before you do them apply some sort of gel, not to much, go in the drier and stay for like 60 mins, when you get ou leave them and let them get colder because when your hair is still warm it looses the shape, so when its cold enough let go of the rollers and leave it how it is. good luck.

Flip your Head over and Hairspray it, then barely Brush out. Your hair will seem fuller and it will be HOT.

Use a shampoo that creates volume and then go to the sallon and get a perm (body waves, not a tight perm) and that should give it more body and bounce Also u can get more layers

use rollers to make it curlyish- that would give some volume (but only for a short time lol)? or get a nice stylish hair cut with layers and angles.

The weight flattens it. I had the same until I told my hair dresser and he cut it short with creativity. Now even the most silent person compliments me. NICE
