Film School?

I really want to go to film school and the one I am looking at costs so much. It's really my dream school so, other than loans and financial aid, how do I pay for a $65,000 school

Well, student loans and financial aid (such as scholorships, grants, etc) are about the only way you have to pay other than working your way through school or getting help from your parents or family. So, the first thing I would suggest is you go to your school office or local library and pick up a FAFSA form, or go to www.fafsa.com and fill it out there. It stands for "Free application for federal student aid." This form alone will eventually net you a list of loan programs and grants (such as the pell grant - grants are great! You don't pay them back!). It will also help the school in question to determine what programs they have or scholarships they know about that could help you. Second, RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH. There are scholarships out there for everybody. Some don't even have anything to do with your grades. There are scholarships based on ethnicity, interest, community service, hair color, beauty contests, etc etc. Ask your guidance counselor or librarian to help you get started. Third, apply for every freakin' scholorship you are eligible for, whether you think you will get it or not! A last resort is to work your way through school, but take it from me, it isn't easy to do school and work both full time. If you have a full schedule and are working more than 25 hours a week, you are likely setting yourself up for failure. Hope this helps!
