A dry nose does not neccesarily mean a sick pup. That is a myth, You can put neosporin or vaseline on his nose.

Is it possible the nose got sunburned? It does happen sometimes, even those with dark noses. If there is no discharge from the area peeling off, I'd give it a day or two before going to the vet unless you'd just rather make an appointment anyway.

A sign of a healthy dog is his nose is wet. A sign of an unhealthy dog is his nose is dry. Take him to the vet.

My dog had that before, my vet said to put vaseline on the nose till it heals up...is she out in the sun? I was told it was a sun allergy, like sun burn...so I had to put sun block on her nose after that. I'm sure she's healthy, my dog was, it was just the sun playing havoc. Keep vaseline on it to keep it moist though.

Maybe it's peeling because it was sun burnt. Not sure. Your best bet is to ask your vet. Maybe they can tell you some kind of lotion you can put on his nose. Good luck!

I can just say that your dog's health is not really so good because by right, dog's nose should be wet not dry. If so, maybe u can use a wet hanky or a wet tissue to tap on his nose but don't tap too hard on it cause dog actually don't like people to touch it's nose.
