I think it said in the Good Book__ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
Who so ever beliefs in me tho they be dead, shall have ever lasting life.
Every body wants to go to Heaven but nobody wants to die just to try and prove a point that they can't come back to tell anyone about.

Either we're just gone (because obviously we'd be dead) and our bodies rest in peace in a grave, or we remain wherever our ashes are spread.

Maybe there is such a thing as reincarnation, which would be pretty cool if you could remember your past life. It's interesting to think that whatever you choose to believe through your life is what will really happen when you die.

For example, if you're Christian and believe you'll either go to heaven or hell, that's what will take place for YOU specifically after you pass on. If you believe in reincarnation, that's what will happen to YOU specifically when you pass on. And if you believe nothing at all, maybe you will just rest in peace and be, basically, gone lol.

Interesting but nobody will ever know until they die. Some things are just better left unknown. The world would be a boring place if we had nothing ot ponder about.

Honestly, there is no real answer. Most people would say you go to your judgment determining your life as what it's been. Others would say you dream and dream constantly and your dream is constituted of the life you lived. So if you were in peace than peace becomes of your dream, on the other hand well if you live a tormenting life style well "God bless your soul". From immortal knowledge we know that we are pumped up with formaldehyde, dressed and groomed, then placed in a coffin to decay or castrated. We know when we die the hart no longer is pumping and no oxygen is being pumped in and out the lungs. The body is stiff and cold, the eyes are closed to hide their desolation. When know that there was a charge that use to be no longer exist. What was the charge that the human body contained to operate the heart, to pump the blood, to circulate to the brain is know as a soul, a natural energy charge. So to really answer the question. Your not really dead but to the eye. Your physical form can no longer be made out. Your electrical charge is no longer restricted to a corps, but you still live.

I had an out of body (near death) experience. I don't know where I was going, but I was headed out. I saw my body and the room and the light was bright coming into the window. It seems like I was drawn toward the light (like a bug at night?) I saw my body and went back into it. So I believe in life after death, but have no idea what it will be. So for all the beliefs and religious ideas..no one knows and there's only one way to find out..

I can speak from personal experience... I was in a coma 22 days and been clinically dead before due to being hit by a drunk driver.

It is not a question of belief. It is a fact. Plenty of stuff to read on the subject. As for me... I am a witness to what happened to me.
It was something I can not forget... nor can anyone excuse it away.

Seriously?

You will be have to give an account of everything you've done in your life, to God, the Creator, and he will judge you based on this fact:

Did you, or did you not accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior? Are your born of His Spirit and filled with His Spirit, and did you live your life according to His ways??

If the answer is yes to those questions then you will live forever with the Lord in Heaven!

If the answer is no:

Better yet, let Jesus tell you, what He told His disciples in
Luke 13:23-29:

Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?"

He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door (the way unto life), because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

(He uses an example)

Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.'

"But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'

"Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'

"But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!'

"There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, BUT YOURSELVES THROWN OUT.

People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God."

Our souls go to either heaven, or purgatory. We either teach the people in purgatory, or we learn. Then on the day of judgement, we are judged for what we have done in our lives and the type of person we were.

I don't believe that just because you believe in Christ, you will automaticaly be sent to live with God, and those who don't go to hell. That wouldn't be nice of God and we know that he is a kind, merciful God. If that is so, then he would provide a way for those who don't know of him, or haven't accepted the gospel to have a chance to. It would only be fair.

i believe that souls maybe go to the after life or remain on earth. Whether to protect their families or loved ones. Or simply because they don't know what lies beyond death. Or don't want to know. I think that the after life is a place where souls go to rest. For bad souls well the people they have wronged will be the judge of their fate.

We face our personal judgement in which we are sentenced to either Hell (most), Purgatory (for a temporary stay to cleanse our sins so we can appear before God unstained, some), or Heaven (very few immediately go there because they have to be clean of sin, usually martyrs will go straight to Heaven or baptized infants).
