Yes, I have noticed that funamentalist Christians do seem more prone to misconceptions like that. But when you look at fundamentalism in ANY religion that makes allowances for fundamentalists, you can see that Taliban-style fundamentaism DOES attract people who aren't happy with themselves and wish to inflict that unhappines on others. Rape victims are just one of many easy targets for them because the finger pointing zealots are too cowardly to actually point fingers at REAL wrongdoers, because that would require them to be true to their faith, but they're not interested in being true to their faith; they're just interested in controlling and terrorizing other people with it.

No I have never heard of that. No true Christian (and I emphasize the word, 'true') would ever blame rape on any victim. Maybe you need to rephrase 'Christian' and just use the word Fundamentalist. In order for you to be a Christian you must be a follower of Christ. In addition, Christ and Taliban (from what I know and have heard of them) are not alike. May God Bless

I am a fundamental Christian. And I have been raped twice. I do not think it is right to blame the victim AT ALL. I do not care where she was. I don't care WHAT she was wearing. I do not care WHO or WHAT repuation she has or had before. IT IS NOT HER FAULT!!!
FURTHERMORE....I do not appreciate you lumping all of us together and stereotyping us like that. To equate us to the TALIBAN is a HUGE insult to me, personally. Maybe, before you make such irresponsible statments, you should think first and do some research. VERY irresponsible statement you have made.
I am not an idiot. I was a rape victim twice over. And I do not believe that all fundamentalist Christians think that we are to blame. SHAME on them! But SHAME on YOU for stereotyping, judging, and using irresponsible speech.
WE are all responsible for our own actions...we should blame the one who commited the crime regardless of anything else.

I would NEVER blame a rape victim. No matter how she (or he) dressed, acted, or spoke, rape is a horrible violent crime and not the victim's fault. I don't know any fundamentalists who would feel otherwise. If someone who claims to be a Christian said that, please realize that they do not speak for the lot of us.

Ever noticed how you lib's will let child molester get off easy cause their sick and can't help it,an how y'all let a woman in Texas off for killing her 4 kid's and go to a hospital cause she was sick, an how it's OK for a woman kill(MURDER)her unborn BABY cause they are to STUPID to prevent it or unwilling to raise it. I blame the rapist, murder, molester, thief an hope they all go to jail or die. Mine is to forgive, theirs is to pay. If a s!ut or whore gets raped,he should go to jail, and then they both got what was coming, if you live by the sword you dye by the sword.
