If as Christians, the motivation behind what we do is important, then the motivation behind what God does is INFINTELY more important! So what is God's motivation? And, as Christians, shouldn't that then be our motivation?

I think God does everything for His own glory, and for His name's sake. Therefore we should do the same.

I agree with "getunlost" God's motivation is love 1 John 4:8 Think about your sense of taste. He could have just made it so that you can eat but not taste your food. You don't have to taste it to keep living. So being able to taste it is a sign of His love for us. He wanted us to enjoy it. Think about sight. You don't have to be able to see many pretty colors in order to live. He could have just given us black and white sight. The fact that we enjoy all the different colors is a sign that He wanted us to enjoy life, an example of His love for us.

God wants people to willingly accept His son Jesus as their savior and live rightouslives, so that when Jesus returns for the rapture, the church (christians)will become the wife of Jesus. Anyone who is a Christian should know that. We become the bride of the lamb of God.

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

2 Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

Should we have God's motivation?

hmmmmmmm..

You been motivated to sacrifice one of your son's?

You been motivated to due a miracle healing for someone that curses you, cusses you, destroys the Truth with lies?

Why don't we just not play God, and just relax and let Him handle the motivations according to HIS motives. Besides, We do HIS motives, or they are not from God, to begin with.

Well you see God and Lucifer and all of the angels (this was before the big split up) were having this big party, and god got really really drunk. Well the next thing you know God had created a universe.
